UltraRoofs – Tiled and Glazed Advanced Roofing Systems

An UltraRoof is the latest advancement in home solutions. It is the ideal addition to a conservatory or home extension as a replacement roof or a new project. UltraRoofs are designed to provide greater thermal efficiency than any other roof on the market and this is done through a tiled solid roof system. In addition to the tiles, UltraRoofs can incorporate glass panels of your choosing, this creates an outdoorsy feel while flooding your space with natural light.

As well as providing a window to the skies, the glass panels add to the thermal efficiency of the conservatory. They provide heat retention and solar reflection to keep you cosy at all times. They are also self-cleaning and very low-maintenance, so you can relax in your conservatory all year round. An UltraRoof will perfectly fit to your extension or conservatory in just a matter of hours and won’t require structural tie bars, regardless of whether you are building or renovating. To find out a little more about UltraRoofs, please browse our site or feel free to contact our friendly team at your nearest showroom.

Gable Conservatory

Gable conservatories come in a rectangular shape with a triangular roof that lets light fill the space beautifully. To add even further grandeur to a Gable conservatory, an UltraRoof helps to create a comfortable space which is perfect for entertaining guests. On the inside, UltraRoofs are plastered to create a comfortable indoor finish, however the glazing panels provide a view to the outdoors with a snapshot of the skies. The glass panels can be integrated on either or both facets of the roof, and positioned to your liking. The authentic roof slats used in an UltraRoof system also help to create thermal insulation and are available in grey, brown or red so you can achieve your chosen look.

Lean-To Conservatory

A lean-to conservatory is simple but elegant, especially when fitted with an UltraRoof. The sloping roof, which is characteristic of a lean-to conservatory, provides a perfect canvas to show off the highly advanced slates but also the glazing panels, if you choose to do so. This gives you an expanse of space for sky views while creating an utterly contemporary home extension on the outside. All of the glass used in an UltraRoof can retain heat, similarly to the authentic texture and plateaux of the slates. You can select a colour of your choosing with the glass panels as well as the slates, as we offer hints of bronze, clear, blue, and aqua.

Edwardian Conservatory

The Edwardian style of conservatory features a traditional rectangular structure with square fronted corners. While this is a classic look, it is common that they look a bit outdated from time to time, especially with a traditional polycarbonate roof. By incorporating an UltraRoof onto your Edwardian conservatory, you can completely recreate a new and contemporary look. This way, you can also reuse the existing windows, doors and base, without the installation taking too much time or money.

With an Edwardian style, the UltraRoof will feature a front with solid tiles and sides which can incorporate glass panels should you wish to do so. With glass panels and solid slates you can achieve both thermal insulation and natural light, creating a beautiful atmosphere in your conservatory all year round. The ridge caps which join your facets together are also available in a smooth aluminium or an ‘armadillo’ slate so you can tweak your extension to match your home perfectly.

Victorian Conservatory

As a conservatory which typically features a 3 or 5 bay front, a Victorian conservatory provides a lot of room to play with when it comes to an UltraRoof. Its softened and rounded structure complements either grey, brown or red slates and allows plenty of room for glazing panels in the two rectangular sections.

The slates used in an UltraRoof are exclusive offered unparalleled levels of thermal insulation which keeps you warm throughout winter but cool during the summer months. These slates are designed to not only to retain the colour, but also resist expansion and retraction. So you can relax knowing you’re in the safest hands possible. Again, each facet of the UltraRoof is joined by a ridge cap of either contemporary aluminium or a traditional ‘armadillo’ which can match your roof slates.

UltraRoof keeps you warm in the winter, yet cool throughout summer.

The thermal efficiency of an UltraRoof is second to none, which is why it’s such a popular solution for homeowners. Whether you are replacing an existing roof on a conservatory or extension or if you are installing a new build, an UltraRoof will improve the overall look and most importantly, feel. Because older conservatories generally have polycarbonate roofs or glass roofs, they leave homeowners feeling the chill throughout winter. An Ultraroof manages to regulate the overall temperature regardless of the season, so you can enjoy your conservatory or extension at any time. The incorporation of glass panels facilitates overhead natural light and views of the skies, so you can still have the outdoor ambience a typical conservatory would offer.

An UltraRoof manages to achieve a u-value, or heat loss value, of just 0.12 W/m²K. For this reason, UltraRoof is one of the most thermally efficient roofs on the market, it is also incredibly lightweight and low maintenance. To see the u-values of our performance glazing, please see our extensive Glazing Options.

UltraRoof is today’s most advanced roof on the market.

Being both lightweight and incredibly thermally efficient, UltraRoof is the perfect solution to existing glass or polycarbonate conservatory roofs, offering a surplus of insulation in comparison. For a roof replacement, the current roof is initially removed and then any windows and doors are assessed for their structural security. Then your new UltraRoof is put into place. If you choose to replace your windows and doors as well, we can assist with the process and reuse just the conservatory base. Our windows and doors offer high levels of durability, security and can complement your home extension perfectly. If, however, you wish to completely renovate your home extension and change the shape or style of your conservatory, we can of course cover that for you.

Replacement Roof

Replacing just your conservatory or extension’s roof is a convenient way of revitalising your property without spending a lot of money. This way the process is also quicker, as an UltraRoof can be installed within one working day. When installing a replacement roof, we will cover all of the necessary checks to ensure your windows and doors can still remain where they are. After that a watertight covering can be installed within only 2-3 hours. Once your UltraRoof is installed the difference will be immediately noticeable as your conservatory will be warm throughout the colder months.

Frames & Roof

The windows and doors of your conservatory or extension significantly add to the security of your property, as well as the thermal efficiency and of course overall looks. Our windows and doors have gone from strength to strength over the last 5 – 10 years. This is why many homeowners choose to replace their windows and doors while replacing their conservatory roof. To give customers variety, our windows are available in a range of styles from casement to tilt & turn. The same applies to our doors, as we offer everything from French to bio-folding doors. You also have a selection when it comes to the colours of your windows and doors, which can be easily fitted to the existing conservatory base, meaning you don’t have to worry about the cost of brickwork or foundations.

New Build

As well as a replacement roof, an UltraRoof is ideal for a new build project, whether you are building a new conservatory or home extension. You may feel like you need an expansion on an existing conservatory to provide a little extra space to relax in, without having to endure a big property move. We can of course accommodate that and fit UltraRoofs to new builds. This is also surprisingly quick and straightforward. Also, because every UltraRoof is factory-made and pre-assembled during quality control, there is very little excess material and waste created on-site, so you don’t have to worry about a disruption around your home. Our installers can create a watertight room in just one day, so internal plastering and decorating can start immediately.

Slate colours to complement your home

UltraRoof uses polymer slates that help to contain the heat within your conservatory or extension. These slates are both durable and low maintenance and can replicate the appearance of their traditional counterparts with natural peaks and plateaux. Our roofs can be fitted very quickly and efficiently with 12 slates at a time. Our polymer slate roof covering can be fitted very quickly, 12 slates at a time. We offer 3 main colours to choose from, which people tend to match with the roof on their main property, or the colour of their glazing. Should you choose carbon grey, terra brick, or harvest brown, your UltraRoof will add a contemporary style to your home. You can also select the colour of your ridge caps, which fasten the facets of your UltraRoof together. We offer either an ‘armadillo’ style ridge cap which best matches the effect and colour of the polymer slates, or a smooth and contemporary aluminium ridge cap. On top of that, should you choose to have glazing, our glass options come in several different tints, such as bronze, aqua and blue.

Building regulations made quick and simple.

As an LABC (Local Authority Building Control) and LABSS (Local Authority Building Standards Scotland) approved roof system, UltraRoof takes care of all of the building regulations on your behalf. Our consultants guide you through building regulations and act as an intermediary, removing any unnecessary stress for you. Because UltraRoof is an approved system that is recognised by authorities you can fast-track installation plans by going through us. While building regulations tend to sound like a complex topic, we will ensure that your replacement or new build complies with legislation so you can relax in your extension as soon as possible.
