Founded in 1985, Joedan Home Improvements has grown steadily but significantly over the last quarter of a century. We do not operate nationally, and service Gloucestershire and local areas first and foremost, although our sister company Wessex offers our full services and products throughout Hampshire. As part of the Joedan Group of Companies we also own Micron Home Improvements which covers Kent and parts of London and Coastline Home Improvements who are based in Newport, Isle of Wight. We have always been Tewkesbury based, and have occupied our purpose built premises at Ashchurch for many years.
Joedan Group is the parent group for its subsidiary companies engaged in engineering, manufacturing and retailing aluminium and UPVC-related products. Our business comprises: Micron Home Improvements, Wessex Home Improvements, Joedan Home Improvements & Wessex Commercial Division.
Joedan Group manages its companies with an ethos of long-term sustainability. This encompasses its policies for employment, environmental responsibility and community involvement. As a family-run business, Joedan Group applies the same principles to its family of businesses.

Our service to customers begins with an understanding of the individual needs of each customer. Our sales team are all employed by the company and they will help you in tailoring the product to match your specific requirements. Often the first contact that customers make is as a result of a recommendation from a friend, relative or neighbour who we have dealt with in the past. It’s because of the importance we place on customer satisfaction that we have been in business locally since 1985. Following that first contact, we encourage customers to visit our showroom to see and feel the products. As we manufacture our products on site customers can also see them being made if they wish.
Customers are as individual as their homes, and we want their new doors, windows or conservatories to be exactly as they want them. All our products are made to order and our investment in IT means that after a full on-site survey of the customers’ requirements, orders are specified, checked and verified before being automatically translated into an order for production in our factory. We also agree installation arrangements with customers at this stage – all part of the Joedan Experienced technical achievement to the highest standards.
At Joedan, our manufacturing operations are a crucial part of our business. By having our own production facilities making products of our own design, we are able to maintain the high quality and service standards that we promise to our customers. Wherever we have found a problem in the past which meant that we were unable to meet our promises, we have invested in our own facilities.
Design, fabrication, thermal improvement and finishing are all under one roof. In addition we have formed strategic partnerships with suppliers of our main raw materials, the framing and the finishing processes. We can therefore control our customers’ orders from the raw material through to the finished product ready for installation. In that way we can deliver on time and install on time, taking away the frustration of not being in control. This in turn means that we are able to satisfy our objective of customer satisfaction whether it’s our own local installation in a customer’s home or fabricated products supplied nationally to the trade.
Our reputation depends on an efficient operation in all aspects of our business. By controlling our manufacturing process in its entirety we can ensure that customers will always receive what they ordered as promised.
Joedan Home Improvements have been making and installing thermal Aluminium windows in Southern England & the Midlands since our inception. In addition, we can fabricate our aluminium windows and doors in virtually any colour you ask for. We can even create dual coloured products where a different finish is required on the inside of your property to the one outside! Choose from casement, georgian, sash, french, triple and double glazed windows and doors.
At Joedan, we have a philosophy of environmental concern and the choices that we offer reflect this.

We are an “Investors in People Company” and we aim to be responsible in our employment policies, environmental awareness and social participation.
We have developed and improved our products and service to ensure that we give our customers what they want. In addition, we have designed our products to comply with the standards and requirements demanded by government regulations and consumers alike. We are proud of our achievements in gaining recognition by government and trusted industry bodies and we will continue to keep ahead of industry requirements.
FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. Following Government encouragement, FENSA has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies in response to Building Regulations for double glazing companies in England and Wales. When replacing windows and doors, homeowners must comply with current thermal performance standards and ensure they get a certificate from FENSA or Local Authority Building Control. FENSA enables companies that install replacement windows and doors to self-certify compliance under these Building Regulations without the need for a separate assessment from Building Control.
