Embrace a little bit of luxury in your home with a bespoke aluminium entrance door. Lusso aluminium doors have a real exquisiteness about them.

At Joedan, we have the widest selection of Lusso aluminium doors in Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent and South London. Available in a great range of styles, colours, and finishes. Standard ‘house colours’ include Matt & Gloss White, Black, Anthracite Grey, Basalt Grey and Pebble Grey. We also offer many bespoke RAL colour options, simply let your consultant know your favoured colour and they will tailor the quotation to your exact specifications.

For those wanting a strong, modern front or back door, without the extensive maintenance timber and other materials often require, we have created a fantastic range of contemporary doors that will never rot, warp, or require repainting. In addition, the large thermal polyamide barriers we use within the aluminium door frames ensure the warmth is kept where it should be – in your home.

Lusso Aluminium Doors

Slender sightlines are one of the paramount features that most symbolise a modern Lusso aluminium door. Because of the absence of a clunky, cumbersome framework, Lusso aluminium doors can accommodate very vast glazed panes.

Our woodgrain effects are the closest thing to timber...

We don’t use a single bit of wood in our Lusso aluminium doors, mostly because we simply don’t need to. Instead, we employ a technique called sublimation which helps us to create woodgrain effects that are practically identical to traditional woodgrain effects.

Available in Oak, Rosewood and Walnut, anybody could easily confuse them for wood, but unlike authentic woodgrains, they don’t need any form of maintenance. A bit of soapy water and a cloth will be all you need to banish any marks from the door frame and bring the fade-resistant woodgrain effect right to the fore again.

Lusso Aluminium Doors

We’re certainly not half-hearted when it comes to adding the finishing touches to our Lusso aluminium doors. Personalise your door with help from our team of friendly advisors to find the perfect coloured finish, glazing and hardware.

Our colour palette couldn’t be more comprehensive...

The secret formula behind the quality of our Lusso aluminium colours is the 11-stage powder-coating process we employ when applying the finish to the frames. When requested, we will supply a dual-coloured Lusso aluminium door if you don’t want to be limited to one, sole colour for the design. Asking for two finishes helps prevent you having to choose between two favourites.

Handles that are crafted with love and patience.

Handles aren’t solely practical, they also bring character to a door. They can have a huge visual impact on the look of a door, so it is important to select the right style for your home.

Each one of Joedan’s handles have been crafted by skilled experts to ensure a smooth opening and closing, without compromising on security.

Finding your perfect replacement door should be difficult. To help you decide on your ideal door, we’ve answered some of our most commonly asked questions. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact a member of our team for advice.

Should you choose an aluminium or UPVC door?

Choosing between an aluminium and UPVC door all depends on what you need and want.

We simply couldn’t pick a favourite out of aluminium doors and UPVC doors, which is why we sell both products, as there are wide-ranging benefits to both door options.

Aluminium doors have a sleeker design than UPVC doors and the slimness of their profile enables more glass to be incorporated into them. They would also beat UPVC doors in a strength test, but that’s not to say that UPVC isn’t tough, it’s just that aluminium happens to be one of the most resilient materials in existence. From a cost perspective, UPVC doors are the cheaper of the two but don’t mistake their low cost for low-quality – that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Select an aluminium or UPVC door on the basis of what attributes are most important to you – aesthetics, insulation, security, lifespan, sustainability etc.

What are the advantages of Joedan aluminium doors?

Joedan’s Lusso aluminium doors aren’t your standard aluminium door offering.

When searching for a word that would neatly encapsulate the extravagance of our aluminium door suite, we went with ‘Lusso’, the Italian word for ‘luxury’, an acknowledgement of our Owner’s Italian heritage.

It cannot be compared to any other aluminium door collection, standing head and shoulders above competing ranges, constructed using premium grade alloy profiles.

A Lusso aluminium door is one of the strongest and most durable door systems available anywhere, designed specifically to cope with the rough UK climate and last for an age with barely any maintenance. Its feel and solidity is unmatched, with alloy frames that won’t bend, twist or warp.

How secure are Joedan aluminium doors?

Aluminium doors secure enough to scare off the most dogged of thieves.

Around three-quarters of home burglaries occur through doors, reinforcing how vital it is that your front and rear doors have the resilience to repel any possible break-in attempt.

Lusso aluminium doors have received the Secured by Design (SBD) accreditation, confirming that they are sufficiently robust to resist criminal attacks.

SBD is a Police-approved initiative, set up in 1989, that looks to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings. To gain the accreditation, our aluminium doors were independently tested and assessed against the SBD criteria, demonstrating that they offer an exceptionally high degree of resistance. Therefore, you can feel so much safer in your home with a Joedan door protecting it.

What letterplate, handle and other hardware can I add to my door?

The finer details go a long way towards making a door look stylish.

It’s how you furnish and accessorise an aluminium door that transforms it from ordinary to extraordinary. With a well-considered choice of handle, letterbox, letter or number plate etc. a Lusso aluminium door can’t fail to set the most perfect tone for your house, whether fitted at the front or back.

All our handles and other door accessories are constructed and engineered with the same precision as our door systems and come in traditional and contemporary styles and finishes to complement any frame colours and home decor.

They will make your door stand out and are built to perform for the duration of the product and guarantee.

How do you care for aluminium doors?

Some sporadic and simple TLC will keep an aluminium door spotless.

Aluminium is so hard-wearing that it rarely needs cleaning, however, dirt and grime can still build-up on an aluminium door frame. Thankfully, it’s really easy to shift.

Fill a bucket with warm, soapy water, and after soaking it in the water, use a soft sponge or microfiber cloth to gently wipe down the frame, which should pick up and remove any stains. Refrain from using anything abrasive as it could damage and scratch the aluminium.

A standard glass cleaner will be fine for cleaning any glazed sections of the design (preferably one that promises a streak-free finish) and lubricating the locking mechanism with WD40 a couple of times a year will keep it working smoothly.

Do aluminium doors rust or peel?

Aluminium doors are rust-resistant, and they won’t peel.

The impressive durability of aluminium precludes any possibility of an aluminium door ever rusting, peeling, or flaking.

Application of a coloured finish to aluminium doors involves a powder-coating procedure over many arduous stages, creating a protective layer that also stops them from corroding or becoming scratched or chipped.

In summary, an aluminium door from Joedan will consistently win in the constant battle against the elements and remain looking as good in 10 years’ time, or longer, as it did when you first had it installed.

How energy efficient are aluminium doors? Are aluminium doors cold?

Any notion of aluminium doors being cold is a total myth.

You have to go back to the late 1970’s to uncover the reasoning for some people incorrectly believing that aluminium is cold.

Back then, aluminium doors would be built without a thermal break, but those days are long gone, at least so in this country, with aluminium doors featuring a polyamide or expanded polyurethane barrier to divide the inner and outer sides of an aluminium frame. The thermal break technology helps with heat retention and minimises heat loss.

UK Building Regulations and our unique climate demand that the inner side of aluminium doors is never too cold, and aluminium is an inherent insulating material.
