Retail Sales Administrator

Location: Newport, Isle of Wight

Job Type: Full Time. Holiday Entitlement.

We are looking for a Retail Sales Administrator to work alongside the Retail Sales Manager in assisting and supporting with quotations and general sales administration.

The position also involves meeting and greeting customers in the Design Centre and helping with general enquiries, experience not essential as in-house training will be provided. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Drive and enthusiasm to provide an outstanding service to our customers
  • Prior scheduling experience
  • Excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner
  • Great organisation skills and a customer focus

The chosen applicant will receive a competitive basic salary alongside uncapped commission.

The use of a company car and fuel will also be provided.

Trainee Sales Consultants

Joedan – Trainee Sales Consultant

We are looking for a trainee sales consultant who has a keen desire to learn and develop within the glazing industry. The trainee sales consultant will involve selling products and services within the retail sales sector of the business and working hard to ensure a compelling buying experience for the customer. Eventually, trainees will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships and finding new customers.

Salary: Basic salary £18,000 plus uncapped commission

The inclusion of a company car including fuel will be provided once you have passed training.

Manufacturing (Tewkesbury)

APPRENTICESHIP AVAILABLE AT TEWKESBURY

Working as part of a production team learning the engineering skills required to successfully support the effective operation of the production department, working to high safety and quality standards.

Skills an apprentice will learn

  • Fabrication and assembly of windows and doors to the required standard and quality that meets all manufacturing specifications of the product including mullions (vertical bars) and transoms (horizontal bars) using the relevant jointing method and/or machinery. using equipment such as machines, hand and power tools.
  • Fixing ancillary items to the product, for example handles.
  • Conducting equipment and/or machinery checks and adjustments in preparation for fabrication, including calibrations for accuracy of machine operation.
  • Fabrication and assembly of windows and doors is completed on time to meet client needs.
  • Measure, cut, drill and prepare the profile length of various materials that will form the finished product.
  • Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions.
  • Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
  • Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present.
  • Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in.
  • Ensuring that quality control standards are met by checking and inspecting the product for any damage or imperfections in the frame or paintwork.
  • Rectifying any defects or passing it on to an appropriate colleague or reporting the issue.
  • Clean and finish the product using appropriate materials and chemicals safely and ensuring the finished product functions correctly.
  • Testing products for their functionality.
  • Complete documentation, for example worksheets, quality and environmental records.
  • Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
  • Adhering to assembly safety standards.

Window Installation (Tewkesbury & Winchester)

APPRENTICESHIP AVAILABLE AT TEWKESBURY & WINCHESTER

Installing a wide range of replacement fenestration products in a property or structure.

Skills an apprentice will learn

  • Select the correct type and quantity of materials, components and equipment for each task in line with specifications/instructions.
  • Read and interpret specifications, diagrams and work-related instructions including BIM’s.
  • Plan work; carry out checks to ensure the products are the correct size to fit the aperture and meets the specifications.
  • Prepare the work area effectively, make the site safe and ensure all parties are considered i.e. occupiers, children, pets, the general public and all other trades people.
  • Complete tools and equipment check and adjustments. Use tools and equipment safely.
  • Select and use manual methods and equipment to install products to specification.
  • Install products and fixings, ensure level and plumb, comply with regulations, manufacturer’s instructions and specifications.
  • Measure, cut and fix trims.
  • Apply external wet sealants and appropriate associated products.
  • Remove windows and doors and/or prepare apertures for installation activities.
  • Ensure structural stability including temporary support when removing products.
  • Handle, load, unload and store products safely to minimise potential damage.
  • Install ancillary, glazing, weatherproofing items to products in accordance with work instructions/manufacturers guidelines.
  • Follow health & safety and environmental policy and procedures.
  • Identify risks and hazards in the workplace and control measures.
  • Check and inspect work – interim and final.
  • Identify and rectify any work that is incorrect or incomplete.
  • Re-use, re-cycle and dispose of materials, waste and scrap from the work area, as appropriate.
  • Communicate with colleagues and clients using common industry terminology appropriately and accurately.
  • Complete workplace documentation.
  • Report work outcomes and problems.
  • Post installation activities such as interaction with clients or site manager.

Supported by excellent in-house training, the requirements are designed to offer stretch and progression and when qualified apprentices will eventually be able to work with minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the professional approach and way they conduct themselves.

Technical Support (Tewkesbury & Winchester)

Working as part of a team, Technical Support Apprentices will be trained to provide technical support and expertise for all areas of the Engineering and Manufacturing function.

The requirements are designed to offer stretch and progression. They will eventually be able to work with minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy and timely delivery of the work they undertake. They will be proactive in finding solutions to problems and identifying area for improving the business.

Skills an apprentice will learn

  • Provide technical support to users working both internally and externally
  • Troubleshoot issues related to software, hardware, networking and telephony
  • Configuration and maintenance of IT assets including, but not limited to, PC’s servers, printers, mobile phones and network infrastructure
  • Set up of user devices including PC’s and mobile phones
  • Maintaining a healthy Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environment, including user creation and management
  • Maintaining the telecoms system, including the setup and management of user extensions
  • Supporting and maintaining internal ERP and CRM systems
  • Configure and regularly review security measures including firewalls and anti-virus

Sales Administration (Tewkesbury)

APPRENTICESHIP AVAILABLE AT TEWKESBURY

The main purpose of a Sales Administrator specialist is to be ’professional’ for the direct client support within all sectors and organisation types. Our apprentices will be the custodians of the Sales Administration role acting as a referral point for dealing with client needs, complaints and queries. Working as part of a commercial team, Sales Administration Apprentices will be trained to share knowledge and expertise with their support team and colleagues.

The requirements are designed to offer stretch and progression and they will eventually be able to work with minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy and timely delivery of the work undertaken. Qualified apprentices will ultimately be proactive in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the business needs.

  • Receiving and processing purchase orders
  • Issuing sales transaction invoices
  • Verifying orders, including customer’s personal information and payment details whilst conforming within GDPR guidelines
