An Insight Into 2023’s Home Interior Design Trends

Dulux Colour of the Year – Wild Wonder™
The design world waited in bated breath to discover what Dulux would choose as their Colour of the Year for 2023 and they have revealed it to be ‘Wild Wonder™.
“Inspired by the natural world”, they see the delicate green shade as a fitting colour for a time when nature is most threatened and believe it will help us maintain a tight bond with the outdoors whilst in our indoor spaces.
Wild Wonder™ is such a warm and soft colour, so there are no limitations to where it can be used. However, it’s regarded as a good choice for bedrooms, kitchens, and home offices.
Irregular rugs
Your standard square, rectangular and circular rugs are being overtaken by floor coverings shaped more unconventionally. We’re referring to rugs that are angular, curved, and geometric.
When put down in the centre of a living room or any other prominent area, they create a huge talking point.
These rugs will demonstrate your preference for being quirky original.
Social spaces
For a long time, Covid put a stop to gatherings at home with large numbers, and even as restrictions were eased, many felt hesitant to play host to big groups again. That’s set to change in 2023 with the return of social spaces.
Any kitchen with an island that incorporates a breakfast bar would be a perfect space for hosting those long-awaited social occasions, as you can concentrate on cooking whilst everyone else gets on with chatting together.
Or if it’s fashionably designed, nicely lit and well-insulated, assign your living room as the party spot for when you send out invites to guests to come round and join you.
